Gin & Tonic Pick-Me-Up Cologne Spray

Created 1997. Perfumer Demeter In House. Juniper berries were infused with distilled spirits at an attempt to cure kidney and stomach disorders in the late 17th century. By the 18th century, the London working class was taken over by 'gin madness', and a law was passed to have gin production confined to larger distillers making the drink become more refined. In 1870 'Indian tonic water" was invented to disguise the unpleasant taste of quinine used to protect against malaria. Today it is a necessary refreshment from the tropical heat.
